Experience Our Approach to Learning

Not Your Typical Classroom

At SOAR Academy, we believe learning should be engaging, adaptable, and student-centered. Our classrooms are designed with flexibility in mind, creating an environment where every student can thrive.

Flexible Seating

Sitting at a desk all day can be tough! At SOAR, students have seating options that support focus and comfort, including:

  • Desk chairs & rolling desks for structured learning
  • Exercise balls & bean bags for movement-based focus
  • Yoga mats & alternative seating for a relaxed learning experience

Flexible Instruction

Our teachers customize lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring that every student is engaged, challenged, and supported in their unique learning journey.

Flexible Teachers

We have a team of specialized educators who bring different teaching styles to the classroom:

  • Traditional Teacher – Structured, lecture-style instruction
  • Personalized Learning Teacher – Focused support for students with individualized learning needs
  • Multi-Sensory Teacher – Engaging, hands-on learning experiences tailored to different styles

At SOAR Academy, learning isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s built around the student!

He struggled with getting overwhelmed and frustrated when learning in traditional environments.

SOAR to SUCCESS Story

Aiden was a 2nd grader in the Autism Program at SOAR Academy last year. He struggled with getting overwhelmed and frustrated when learning in traditional environments. After working with Aiden, the SOAR team created a curriculum that focused on 1 on 1 support, environments with sensory accommodations, and social skills to regulate his emotions. With these adjustments to his learning environment and developing these skillsets Aiden is thriving.

Building on what they learn each week.

Exploration Friday

Every Friday the SOAR curriculum takes the students out of the classroom and gives them the opportunity to connect to what they are learning in new ways. This transformational program is designed to incorporate community programs that will develop their life skills, but it also focuses on broadening their learning development with guest speakers and activities designed to strengthen their understanding. By changing the atmosphere on Friday’s, it allows students to continuously engage and be excited to learn .  These experiences are voted on by the PTO committee and have become a favorite for parents and students.

Common Weekly Activities: Kroc Center, Patriots Park, Jessie Norman Art School, fishing, and guest speakers.
