Miss Melanie is a highly valued member of our staff with over 20 years of teaching experience. A proud Army wife of 30 years, Melanie has a deep understanding of resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community. As the mother of two children on the autism spectrum, with her youngest currently attending the SOAR program, she brings both personal experience and professional expertise to her role. Originally from Oklahoma, Miss Melanie began her teaching career there and has since become known for her unique talent—turning just about anything into a song! Her creativity and sense of fun infuse every lesson she teaches, making her approach both engaging and memorable. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys reading and binge-watching shows, as well as balancing her role as a small business owner with her family life. Her compassionate spirit, resilience, and creativity shine through in all she does, making a positive impact both in the classroom and beyond.
