EVANS, Ga. (WFXG) – A local school has received a half-million dollar grant in recognition of its specialized programming for neurodivergent learners.

Kenisha Skaggs is the founder and lead teacher of SOAR Academy in Evans. She says she founded the school 12 years ago in her attic, hoping to give families options when it comes to education.
