MaryKatherine Gorlich, originally from Oklahoma, is an Army veteran with a strong passion for education and community engagement. With over six years of experience working in schools, MaryKatherine brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to supporting students and families. As a mother of children who currently attend SOAR Academy, she is excited about the opportunity to become even more involved and contribute to the school's growth and success. Before joining SOAR, MaryKatherine worked as a school secretary, where she gained valuable insights into the inner workings of educational environments. Her background in administration, combined with her hands-on experience, allows her to effectively support both students and staff in her role as Community Liaison and Academic Coach. Marykatherine has also participated in influential professional development programs, including North Cass Training, the National Microschool Conference, and the 50CAN Summit, where she deepened her understanding of innovative education practices and the needs of diverse learners. With her unique perspective as both a parent and educator, MaryKatherine is dedicated to helping foster strong relationships within the SOAR community and ensuring academic success for all students.
