We are a private non-sectarian school that serves students that work best in a smaller self-paced environment. Curriculum is project-based and customized to fit each student’s learning style. Furthermore, we service students at risk for remediation by bridging the mathematics and reading gap.

We are not a religious school however, we offer Bible devotion as an option to our students.

We work with students with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Auditory Processing Disorder, Dysgraphia, Intellectual Delay, Speech and Occupational Therapy
Delays and more.

We service mild learning disabilities. All students must be potty trained and able to work in a small group environment throughout the day. We require between 2 and 4 trial days of attendance before acceptance into our program.

Unfortunately, we currently do not accept students with severe behavioral issues (or issues that interfere with the learning of others) or students that require one-on-one support all day. Due to our accreditation limitations, we are no longer able to accept students that require 1:1.

We can build a custom program for your child to homeschool combined with ABA therapy.

1st-12th grade. Students must be enrolled by 9th grade to graduate from Soar Academy Augusta. Our program is specifically tailored towards (twice exceptional) gifted high school students or students that are preparing for ivy league college programs. While these options are certainly within reach for our students, our primary focus is ensuring students are ready for post secondary school opportunities such as; community college, 4 year college programs, the United States military, workforce programs and apprenticeships, etc.

Yes. All Soar scholarships have been allotted for this school year. The only funding option presently available is the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship.

We do not take preference to a specific curriculum but instead focus on each student’s learning style.
Reading: Wilson Reading Program, Orton Gillingham, Vocabulary Workshop, and Jolly Phonics, Scholastic Vocabulary Series
Mathematics: Math-U-See & Mastering Mathematics, Online Core K12 Math, IXL

Our base rate of tuition is $835 per month. This does not include monthly IEP services. These fees range from $250-$700.

We believe that parents should be the first stakeholders in their child’s education. Our scholarships don’t typically cover 100% of tuition costs. Parents are still responsible for the registration fee, activity fee, transportation fee, and book fee and partial tuition amounts. Scholarships range from $1,000-8,000. Scholarships are not guaranteed each year.

We do not currently offer a lunch option, students are expected to bring their lunch daily.

Approximately 50% of our teachers are certified. The remainder of our teachers have bachelors degrees and specialty training in autism, dyslexia, project-based learning, SEL curriculum, and more. We require our teachers to complete intense training.

We are currently provisionally accredited by the Georgia Accreditation Commission.

Our students complete PE through various methods; Swimming, playing tennis, kickball, and soccer at the local parks. We do not currently have any official sports teams. If parents are interested in helping our school form a team please email us at lskaggs@soaracademy.net.

We offer a few options depending on student ability; California Achievement Test, the Stanford 10 and the ITBS Test.
